The pointwise saturation theorems for Ces?ro mens and Abel means of Fourier series have been proved. Necessary and sufficient conditions for embeddings of function classes. Hpw into Hpw* have been found. Exact order estimates of the almost everywhere approximation of functions from L2 by rectangular partial sums obtained as well as exact order estimates of partial sums of multiple orthogonal series.
Biography
Graduated from Faculty of Mathematics and Physics of I.I. Mechnikov Odessa State University (OSU) in 1960 (department of mathematics). Post-graduated from Faculty of Mathematics and Mechanics of M.V. Lomonosov Moscow State University in 1966 (department of theory of functions and functional analysis) Ph. D. thesis was defended in 1968 D. Sci. thesis was defended in 1998 In 1969 I and E.A. Storozhenko have organized the research seminar at OSU on function theory.
In 1999 I was elected as academician of Academy of Economic Cybernetics of Ukraine. In 2000 was awarded the mark "Excellent worker of education of Ukraine"
