International Conference "Categories and Birational Geometry"
(December 14–18, 2020, online, Moscow)

The workshop is devoted to categorical aspects of birational geometry and singularity theory.

We plan to gather experts to discuss problems on the structure of the categories of coherent sheaves on algebraic varieties and their derived categories in relation to birational structure of algebraic varieties and their singularities. Relevant abelian categories will be in the focus. Among the categories of special interest will be the null-categories of birational morphisms, the categories of noncommutative resolutions of singular varieties and quotient categories by subcategories of torsion sheaves. We expect that this workshop will contribute to categorical interpretation of the Minimal Model Program.

The workshop will be held in Zoom. Note that the schedule below uses Moscow time.
