Outstanding mathematician Sergei Ivanovich Adian passed away on May 5, 2020 in Moscow. His former students and colleagues will present survey talks related to the work and scientific interests of Adian in the fields of Algebra and Mathematical Logic. The speakers are V. Atabekyan, R. Grigorchuk, V. Guba, A. Kanel-Belov, O. Kharlampovich, I. Lysenok, A. Razborov. A memorial session of personal recollections will take place on Tuesday, May 26, at 17:00 (GMT+3).

The conference is a joint meeting of the seminar "Algorithmic Problems in Algebra and Logic" chaired by Sergei Adian for decades, the "Seminar on Mathematical Logic" at the Moscow M.V. Lomonosov State University, and Moscow Mathematical Society. The talks will be presented online using the Zoom platform. Everyone is invited but we kindly ask participants to register (the form can be found below). The link and password for the Zoom conference will be sent to all registered participants by email.
