Abstract:
The stress state of the inhomogeneous strip, containing a rectangular insertion made from a less strong material was investigated under compressive loading with plane deformation during the critical moment of loading. The relationship between the strength characteristics of the basic material and the insert material is assumed to be arbitrary. Explicit analytical expressions to calculate critical loading were obtained.
