Abstract:
Theoretical and experimental studies of the photon and stimulated photon echo generated at the transition 0–1 of $^{174}$Yb atoms are reviewed. Analogues of the phenomena induced by collisions of $^{174}$Yb atoms with buffer gas atoms are also considered. The nature of collisions is analyzed.
