Abstract:
Based on the specific heat equations obtained earlier for crystalline (298.15–3840 K) and liquid (3840–5000 K) zirconium carbide with composition close to stoichiometric, we calculated the thermodynamic functions for ZrC0.95−0.99 at temperatures of 100 to 5000 K. Special attention is paid to the nature of the anomalous growth of the enthalpy and the specific heat of the crystalline ZrCx at temperatures above ∼2200 K. The calculated thermodynamic functions are included in the IVTANTHERMO database.
