Abstract:
A of the background-field method of renormalisation for field theories
with nonlinear symmetries is proposed. The counterterms obtained are explicitly invariant
without taking into account the equations of motion. A simple algorithm for
constructing counterterms is developed, which is based on the symmetry group invariants
expressed in terms of the Cartan forms.
