Abstract:
In the framework of nonequilibrium statistical thermodynamics in the quasiclassical case a study is made of the rate of dechanneling from the regime of planar channeling, the rate of energy loss of the channeled particles, and also the parameters of their equilibrium energy distribution. Analytic expressions are obtained for the corresponding transport coefficients and the modulus of the particle energy distribution 1/F21. An analysis is made of the frequency dependence of the transport coefficients and also of the isotopic
effect in the case of planar dechanneling; it is shown that the total cross section of inelastic scattering of the particles by electrons, which determines the form of the stationary parameter 1/F21, is not identical to the Van Hove total cross section [Eq. (25)] which occurs in the transport coefficients.
