Abstract:
The studies carried out in recent years on the rearrangement of radicals involving the migration of Cl and Br atoms as well as the R3Si, R3Ge, RC=O, RC⪕OO, and RC groups in liquid-phase reactions are examined. Chemical and physicochemical data (obtained by EPR, stereochemical, tracer atom, etc. methods), supporting the idea of the intermediate formation of bridging radicals in 1,2- and 1,3-migrations of atoms and groups, are presented. The unusual rearrangements of aromatic perfluoro-radicals are discussed.
