Abstract: The results of studies of composite ionic conductors are considered. The relationship between their properties and the ionic salt disordering and the interfacial interaction between the components of the material is analysed. Special attention is paid to models that describe the surface disordering and the mechanism of defect formation. The methods of calculation of physicochemical characteristics of composites, the thermodynamic stability and peculiarities of the genesis of the nanocomposite morphology are discussed.
