Kinetics of the Photochemical Oxidation of Polyolefins

Abstract:
The review gives a general and systematic account of data on the kinetics of the thermal and photochemical oxidation of polyolefins and the kinetic parameters obtained by different investigators are compared. The kinetic parameters found at different temperatures and extrapolated to natural conditions are quoted and kinetic curves for the photochemical oxidation of polyolefins are calculated. The curves agree satisfactorily with experimental data on the accumulation of polyolefin photochemical oxidation products. The bibliography includes 104 references.
