Abstract: The preparation, properties, and structure of polymers based on dianhydrides of aromatic tetracarboxylic acids and tetra-amines are surveyed. Compounds of this type possess excellent thermal stability, resistance to radiation and chemicals, catalytic activity, and semiconductor properties. The fields of practical application of the polymers are examined.
A list of 77 references is included.
