Dehydrogenating properties of supported low-percentage palladium-containing catalysts

M. A. Ryashentseva

N. D. Zelinskii Institute of Organic Chemistry, Moscow
Abstract: The catalytic and certain physicochemical properties of low-percentage palladium and bimetallic (Pd–Re, Pd–Co, and Pd-lanthanide oxides) supported catalysts have been examined in the dehydrogenation reactions of cyclanes, cyclenes, cyclohexadienes, their functional derivatives, and heterocyclic compounds and also in the aromatisation of petrol fractions at elevated temperatures and at hydrogen pressures ranging from atmospheric upwards. The influence of thermodynamic factors on the dehydrogenation reaction is discussed and the mechanism of this reaction is considered. The bibliography includes 160 references.
