Abstract: In the review, a systematic account is given of the methods of synthesis of bifunctional complexones and conjugates based on them, data on the physicochemical and biological properties of these compounds and their applications are analysed, and the prospects in the search for new ligands are examined. The bibliography includes 160 references.
