Intermediates and mechanisms of heterogeneous catalytic reactions. Oxidation reactions involving molecular oxygen and sulfur

O. V. Krylov, V. A. Matyshak

N. N. Semenov Institute of Chemical Physics, Russian Academy of Sciences, Moscow
Abstract: The structure of the intermediates surface compounds in heterogeneous catalic oxidation reactions involving molecular oxygen and sulfur is discussed. The degrees of reliability of the role of various proposed structures in catalysis are evaluated. The reaction mechanisms derived from information on the surface complexes are presented. The bibliography includes 141 references.
