Abstract: The review is devoted to the methods of preparation, properties and applications in organic synthesis of compounds of divalent, tetravalent, and hexavalent sulfur which may bear a positive charge on the sulfur atom, such as sulfenium, sulfonium, and sulfoxonium (oxosulfonium) reagents. The bibliography includes 178 references.
