Investigation of the polarization modulation of radiation in strip ridged waveguides subjected to mechanical loads

Abstract:
An investigation was made of the polarization modulation in a thin-film ridged waveguide based on a planar GaP–GaAsP heterostructure. A practically 100% modulation of the radiation was obtained under the action of a half-wave force of 0.05 kg.
