Measurement of laser frequencies using superconducting point contacts
É. M. Belenov, A. V. Uskov
Abstract:
An investigation is made of the noise aspects of measurements of laser frequencies using superconducting point contacts. It is shown that the thermal Nyquist noise makes no contribution to the line width of the intermediate-frequency signal and the contribution associated with the finite line width of klystron radiation may be reduced substantially.
