Chemical and excimer lasers

Continuous-wave HF chemical laser utilizing a chain reaction with a thermal branching mechanism

È. U. Baĭkov, A. S. Bashkin, A. N. Oraevsky
Abstract: An analysis was made of the design of a cw HF laser utilizing a chain reaction with a thermal branching mechanism and suitable molecules are proposed. This analysis made it possible to select the shape of the laser chamber needed to prevent a thermal crisis of the supersonic stream in this laser.
