Reflection-free distributed feedback in two-photon stimulated emission

Abstract:
Phase-matched energy exchange between counterpropagating waves in the course of stimulated two-photon emission is considered. This exchange determines complex dynamics of a laser and is equivalent to a dynamic nonlinear distributed feedback in the absence of any reflecting or periodically scattering structures.
