Abstract: The method of a two-photon standard was used to determine the two-photon absorption cross sections of aromatic amino acids (tryptophan, tyrosine, phenylalanine) and proteins (lysozyme, albumin, trypsin, chemotrypsinogen) at the wavelength of the second harmonic of an Nd3+:YAG laser.
