Abstract: A description is given of a laser in which a discharge is excited by a double parallel-plate transmission line. The results are reported of a study of ultraviolet stimulated emission at wavelengths of 160 and 331.1 nm due to transitions in H2 and N2, respectively. The properties of the stimulated radiation are described.
