Thermal kinetics of the spectrum of a free-running YAG:Nd3+ laser with a threemirror resonator

A. S. Markin, V. A. Petukhov, V. B. Studenov
Abstract: It is shown theoretically and experimentally that kinetics of the spectrum of a free-running solidstate laser can be influenced greatly by an external feedback. The relationships governing the kinetics of the spectrum emitted by a laser with a three-mirror resonator are proposed as the basis for a simple method of determination of the rate of change of the length and temperature of the active element during lasing.
