Abstract:
Phase conjugation of XeCl excimer laser radiation (λ = 308 nm) as a result of stimulated Brillouin scattering in a multimode quartz fiber was observed for the first time. The scattering threshold and the frequency shift were determined and an approximately threefold reduction in the duration of the scattered radiation pulses was achieved.
