Precision of correction by a stimulated Brillouin scattering mirror of turbulence-induced distortions in a light beam

O. I. Vasil'ev, S. S. Lebedev
Abstract: Theoretical and experimental investigations were made of the compensation of distortions experienced by laser radiation in a turbulent medium. Use was made of a phase-conjugating stimulated Brillouin scattering mirror. An increase in the structure characteristic of the fluctuations of the permittivity of the medium reduced the parameter representing the precision of the correction of the laser beam distortions.
