Investigation of a helium-neon laser with high-frequency excitation

Full-text PDF (602 kB) Citations (1)
Abstract: An experimental investigation was made of a helium-neon laser excited by a high-frequency field. It was found that when the hf pumping power became comparable with the optimal dc discharge power, the intensity of the emission at λ = 0.63 μ reached the maximum observed under optimal dc discharge conditions. Moreover, this intensity tended to increase when the hf excitation power was raised still further.
