Acceleration of electrons formed by focusing laser radiation in a gas

T. U. Arslanbekov, O. A. Mezrin, T. I. Mikhaĭlova, V. A. Pazdzerskii, P. Kh. Khabibullaev
Abstract: Calculations are made of the integral energy distribution function of electrons generated by focusing high-intensity laser radiation in a rarefied gas and accelerated by gradient forces. An analysis is made of models of spherical and cylindrical symmetry of the focus when the Debye radius is much greater than the size of the focusing region. The results of the calculations are compared with experimental data.
