Abstract:
An analysis is made of the influence of accidental speckle modulation on the operation of adaptive systems. Methods are suggested for adaptive focusing in the presence of a highly developed speckle structure of the field scattered by a rough surface. These methods are based on an analysis of the statistics of the received signal. The results are reported of model experiments on an adaptive system for radiation focusing on the basis of statistical criteria.
