Abstract: An analysis is made of synchronous pumping of a dye laser by the second harmonic of a YAG:Nd laser (the second harmonic was generated in a resonator made of an LiJO3 crystal). The pump radiation was focused cylindrically and the advantages of such focusing were established. When the average pump power was 1.2 W, the output power of the dye laser was 150 mW. Tuning of the emission frequency was achieved in the wavelength range 570–630 nm.
