Abstract:
A homogeneous model of an electron-beam-controlled CO2 laser, taking into account the fundamental kinetic processes in the approximation of a constant gas pressure, is used in a numerical investigation of the influence of N2O impurities on the ultimate characteristics of the nonselfsustained discharge and the CO2 laser. The influence of stimulated emission on the discharge stability is also studied.
