Abstract:
The fifth harmonic of the radiation of a mode-locked neodymium laser was generated in a multistage system. Strong coherent radiation of 200 kW power was obtained at λ5 = 0.212 μ as a result of phase-matched four-frequency interaction in calcite (CaCO3) at room temperature.
