Investigation of a system for beam deflection by means of lithium niobate crystals

Abstract: A discrete ten-stage system for beam deflection was developed on the basis of the electrooptical effect in lithium niobate. An Iceland spar crystal was used for static deflection. This system made it possible to deflect the beam in two planes between points forming a 32 × 32 matrix. The control voltage was 1 kV.
