Akhseals: new class of spatial-temporal instabilities of optical fields

Abstract: Spatial-temporal instabilities of a new type have been studied theoretically and experimentally. They form in a nonlinear optical system with large-scale transverse interactions of a rotational type under conditions of strong diffraction.
