Finite groups with given generalized maximal subgroups (review). II. From the maximal chains to the maximal pairs

Abstract: Let $G$ be a finite group. Recall that a maximal chain of $G$ of length $n$ is a chain $H_n<H_{n-1}<\dots<H_1<H_0=G $ such that $H_i$ is a maximal subgroup of $H_{i-1}$ for every $i=1,\dots,n$. In this review we continue the analysis of the most famous papers in which finite groups with given maximal chains are developed.
Keywords: finite group, maximal chain, $n$-maximal subgroup, maximal pair of subgroups.
