Biography
Elena Bunkova was born December 4, 1985 in Moscow.
In 2008 she graduated from Mechanics and Mathematics Faculty of Moscow State University. Since 2005, she specialized in the Department of Higher Geometry and Topology under the direction of RAS corresponding member V. M. Buchstaber. In 2008 she has defended a diploma on the subject"Universal bundles of Jacobians of genus 1 and 2 curves. Applications of sigma functions".
In 2002–2005 she also studied at the Independent University of Moscow, in 2005–2008 at the Research and Education Center of MIAN.
Since 2008, she studied at Steklov Mathematical Institute of Russian Academy of Sciences and defended her thesis on the topic "Differential-geometric problems of the theory of sigma functions and applications ".
Since 2011 she works as scientific researcher at the Department of Geometry and Topology of Steklov Mathematical Institute, Russian Academy of Sciences, and Bogolyubov Laboratory of geometrical methods of mathematical Physics, Moscow State University.
