Biography

Received his B.Sc. degree in Physics Engineering (2004) and his M.Sc. degree in Physics (2008) from the Universidad Nacional de Colombia, sede Medellín. He obtained his Ph.D. degree in Optical Engineering from Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya (Spain, 2014). During 2014, he was a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Centre for Sensors, Instruments and Systems Development of Universitat Politecnica de Catalunya. Since 2015, he became full-time Research-Professor at the Instituto Tecnologico Metropolitano de Medellin, Colombia. His current research interests involve digital holography and speckle, light modulation applications and spectral imaging.
