In 1981 he graduated from Kuibyshev Aviation Institute (KuAI, now Samara National Research University named after Academician S.P. Korolyov) with a degree in Radio Engineering. In 1992 he defended the dissertation of the candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences at the Central Design Bureau of Unique Instrument Making. Currently, a senior researcher at the Institute of Nano- and Microsystem Technology (NMST) as part of the Moscow National Research University of Electronic Technology (MIET). Specialist in the field of diffraction optics, technology of optical polymer materials, laser physics, technology of new materials for creating photonic elements.
