Honored worker of science of the Russian Federation, graduated from Kuibyshev Electrotechnical Institute of Communications (KEIC, presently – Povolzhskiy State University of Telecommunications and Informatics (PSUTI)) in 1974, majoring in Multichannel electrocommunication. Currently he is the Head of Communication Lines department in PSUTI. Research interests include communication lines and electromagnetic compatibility of telecommunications systems, fiber optic transmission lines, construction
of efficient technologies and the technical operation of optical transmission lines.
