Graduated from Novosibirsk State University in 1983, majoring in Automation of Physical & Technical Research. He holds a Candidate's degree in Technical Science. Currently he works as the head of laboratory at the Institute of Automation and Electrometry, Siberian Branch of the Russian Academy of Sciences. Research interests are digital image processing and earth remote sensing data processing.
