Abstract:
It is demonstrated that transmission of laser light sharply decreases on a time scale of several nanoseconds with increase in light intensity in the range of $\sim$10$^{5}$–10$^{6}$ W/cm$^{2}$ when a two-center mechanism of nonlinear photoexcitation of a transparent crystal with high concentration of deep impurity centers is taken into consideration.
