Abstract:
Transparent ZnO–MgO–Ag$_{2}$O coatings are formed on glasses by the polymer–salt method, and the optical properties of these coatings are studied. The optical properties of the films are studied by optical spectroscopy and photoluminescence. The structure of the oxide coatings is studied by X-ray diffraction analysis and scanning electron microscopy. It is found that an increase in the silver concentration in the coatings leads to a decrease in the band gap width of the material. It is shown that the films are characterized by a high transparency in the visible spectral region and can generate singlet oxygen under action of UV radiation (370 nm) and blue light (405 nm).
