Abstract:
Luminescent chemosensor properties of Eu(III) carboxylate dibenzoylmethanates are observed. It is shown that the interaction of Eu(III) complexes with ammonia or methylamine vapors leads to an increase in the Eu(III) luminescence intensity. An optical response mechanism related to the interaction between the analyte and Eu(III) complex molecules and to suppression of luminescence quenching is proposed.
