Abstract:
The form of a quasi-optical equation for a pulse of quasi-monochromatic radiation propagating in a homogeneous or one-dimensionally inhomogeneous linear medium with dissipation is analyzed. For a layer of an inhomogeneous medium, the effective parameters of an equivalent homogeneous medium are obtained.
