Krasnoyarsk State Technical University (KSTU) dates back to 1956, when Krasnoyarsk Polytechnic Institute was founded.
KSTU is currently the greatest fully accredited state university. It ranks 16th among 48 polytechnic universities in Russia.
Today KSTU makes 18 Faculties with 22 Bachelor, 6 Master degree courses; 63 Engineering and 53 additional training courses.
17500 students (including 8000 of full-time ones) study at the university, 45 thousand alumni working all over Russia and the Krasnoyarsk Region; the total of 1000 (including 40 Academicians, 70 Doctors of Science, 5 Honoured Inventors and 5 Soros Professors) are faculty members.
Over recent years here were founded Regional Testing Center; Summer and winter polytechnic schools; Lyceum for training of future KSTU students; Siberian Regional Teaching Methodical Centre (SibRTMC).
9 higher educational establishments, 40 educational and research subdivisions allocated at enterprises were modelled by KSTU.
The University offers a multilevel system of higher education and grants a variety of academic awards: degrees and diplomas.
Educational courses train specialists for example to space technologies, social area and education and sciense.
