Seldom collisions in an atomic beam

General Physics Institute named after A. M. Prokhorov, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: The important problem for laser isotope separation is considered. The effect of collector dusting as the result of seldom collisions in rarefied atomic beam is analyzed. The analytical treatment for the collinear atoms beam with the “half-Maxwellian” distribution function was done. The intellectual codes were created to simulate the formation and expansion of the atom flow with seldom collisions. The computer simulations are in a good agreement with analytical modeling in corresponding cases. The restriction of the enrichment degree in the ion separation processes was shown.
