Methods of statistical physics in modelling and optimization
D. Geiger, A. L. Yuille Harvard University
Abstract:
In recent years it has become common place to use methods of statistical physics and probability theory for the design of optimization algorithms for problems in vision, neural networks and brain development. These methods are used both to show unexpected relationship between existing theories and to design a natural class of algorithms.
