Bifurcation analysis of the nonideal model for the $(\mathrm{NO}+\mathrm{CO})/\mathrm{Pt}(100)$ reaction in a continuous stirred tank reactor

Abstract:
The paper contains a detailed bifurcational analysis of stationary and non-stationary timeperiodic solutions in a certain mathematical model of the $(\mathrm{NO}+\mathrm{CO})$ reaction on (100) plane of platinum monocrystal in a continuous stirred tank reactor. The diagrams of nonequilibrium states of the reactional system are constructed in the plane of $\mathrm{P}_{\mathrm{CO}}$ and $\mathrm{P}_{\mathrm{CO}}$ partial pressures and in temperature – $\mathrm{P}_{\mathrm{CO}}$ pressure plane. The influence of the reactor pumping rate on the structure of nonequilibrium state diagrams was studied. Hysteresis phenomena accompanied with self-oscillations of the reaction rate were discovered.
