Mathematical models and computer experiment

Mathematical simulation of three-phase potydisperse flows in Laval nozzles

V. L. Klimova, A. A. Shraiber

a Federal Scientific and Production Centre "Scientific Research Institute of Applied Chemistry"
Abstract: A family of mathematical models for a three-phase polydisperse flow (gas-drops-solid particles) with strong interaction of discrete inclusions, phase changes and droplets combustion has been developed. The evolution of particles state is governed by the continuous approach and Lagrange method. In this case the problem is reduced to analysis of the behavior of two polydisperse ensembles. A complex of FORTRAN codes for the calculation of the three-phase flow parameters in Laval nozzles has been programmed. The experimental data have shown that the proposed models permit to predict correctly the main energetic flow characteristics.
