Mathematical models and computer experiment

Mathematical simulation of experiment on high-frequency electromagnetic fields effect

C. D. Vasil'kov, M. V. Skachkov

M. V. Keldysh Institute for Applied Mathematics, Russian Academy of Sciences
Abstract: By using mathematical simulation the generation of high-frequency electromagnetic field as a result of fast electron beam injection into vacuum chamber is investigated. A mathematical model of self-consistent description of electromagnetic fields and “warm” plasma electron currents is developed. 2- and 3-D computer codes are created. The electromagnetic field generation regimes and the influence of experimental parameters are investigated.
