Abstract: The polycrystalline solid solutions Cd1 – xFexO (0 ⩽ x ⩽ 0.07) possessing ferromagnetic properties at 5 K and room temperature have been synthesized by a precursor method using the formate Cd1 – xFex(HCOO)2 ·2H2O.
